Men’s Heated Base Layer with Heated Collar and Long Sleeves
This version of the Heat Layer has 7 heating zones. Heat covers the chest, arms, a heated collar, as well as the upper and lower back. It also features connections at the ends of the sleeves for gloves or glove liners.
Heat where you need it. Our carbon Softheat™ heating panels are positioned exactly where heat is needed for optimal heat transfer. Through extensive testing, we have developed two different panel layout patterns tailored to the distinct men’s and women’s models. Given differences in body shape, it is hardly surprising that the optimal panel placement differs between men and women.
More control over the heat. How much warmth you need depends on several factors, such as outside temperature and which layers you are wearing underneath or over the garment. Some manufacturers pair an underpowered battery with a simple 3-level button controller to keep costs down, which often results in dissatisfied users. By using twice as many heating panels and more available power, the Heat Layer delivers a more even warmth, where the differences between heat levels become clear and genuinely useful. We felt that 3 levels were not sufficient and therefore first moved to 4 levels, and later to 6 levels, after identifying clear “sweet spots” between the two highest levels in the original 4-level solution. We have also developed a remote multi-voltage controller (accepting up to 18 V DC and converting this to a safe heat range for the garment), enabling wireless heat control from 0–100 % via a rotary dial.

High-tech, moisture-wicking stretch material. There is simply no better fabric for this type of garment. Much like a close-fitting base layer, the stretch material holds the garment – and above all the heating panels – snugly against the body for optimal heat transfer. This high efficiency means that less power and heat are required to achieve a comfortable temperature. Beyond the fit, the material is designed for high comfort and effective moisture management. Users often comment that, in addition to feeling the warmth, the garment fits so well that you hardly notice it is there.
